Spanish Teacher, Sierra Hostetler, was recently named an "Above & Beyond Teacher" by Albuquerque the Magazine. Sra. Hostetler is just one of fourteen teachers to be recognized by the magazine. The April 2022 edition of the magazine can be found on newstands now.

Ashley Sesnie, one of the students who nominated Sra. Hostetler, reflected "Her passion to share her knowledge is contagious, teaching students to strive for excellence and continue their learning without being asked. I can truly say that Mrs. Hostetler has had a profound impact on all her students’ lives; she taught us to have confidence in ourselves and to not be afraid to voice our opinions and ideas. I know some students who before taking her class had never spoken in Spanish and now they have meaningful discussions with Spanish speakers about important topics. Students who have taken classes with her through Spanish 5 have the ability to think, speak, and write in Spanish without the need to translate first, showing that her teaching methods are highly effective. I am privileged to have had the opportunity of being in Mrs. Hostetler’s classes and I am eternally grateful for everything she has taught me. "
