Hello T’Wolves Families,
Over the summer, many of our athletics teams have summer programs. These are fun programs designed to get students in-shape and improve skills while bonding as a team. They are for all EMHS students (and soon to be students), are non-mandatory, and no-cut. We highly encourage you to contact the coach and get your child up to as many summer practices as possible!
Also, please make note that the mandatory Fall Sports (volleyball, soccer, cross country, golf) meeting will be on Wednesday July 31, 6pm at VGCC. This is a mandatory meeting to go over athletic department regulations, team rules, and schedules.

My name is Jerry Duran and I am the new varsity boys head coach. I have been coaching youth soccer for over 15 years, and HS soccer for over 7. I’m impressed with what I have seen so far and I think with a little tweaking we can start building a great program. Plans for the summer will be training at 6:15 AM to 7:45 AM Monday through Thursday. I know it’s early, but training in the AM means we won’t be as susceptible to the afternoon rains that are starting to kick up. As we get closer to the season, we will go 5 days a week. I am also looking at some scrimmages (either one’s that we set up, or part of the UNM Summer Series, but that is still in the air). If you would like to contact me, you can reach me at (505) 604-4444, or email@example.com. We will be having a parent meeting soon, so we can set the program expectations and get to know each other a little bit. I really look forward to coaching your student athletes this year, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.
& Wednesday 4-6pm at Vista Grande Community Center.

The goal is to get students to start running plus perform core and strength exercises to be ready for the fall season. If you are at all interested in running cross country and/or track this year, this is highly recommended to get in shape, avoid injuries and get a taste of what T’Wolf running is all about!! Open to all students. Come prepared for 3-6 miles of running with appropriate running clothes and especially quality running shoes!
Team Information plus a SUMMER RUNNING PLAN can be found at www.emhscctf.com.
It is recommended that runners start training in June, building up to be ready for pre-season, then the season!
Starting Monday July 8.
Meet at the EMHS soccer field.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8-9:30 a.m.

The East Mountain Boys Basketball Summer Program will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6 pm, at the Vista Grande Community Center gym.
The program is designed to provide players the opportunity to improve their fundamental skills, shooting and basketball knowledge. The program also provides scrimmage time for players to practice what they have learned in a basketball game type experience.
The program may also involve attending other schools team camps for summer scrimmages. Interested players should contact Coach Joe Vigil, (505) 660-9444 or email@example.com
T’Wolf Trail Run & Walk
One of the major fundraisers for T’Wolves Athletics is the T’Wolf Trail Run & Walk which will be held on Saturday 9/28 this year in conjunction with our home cross country meet, the Nick Martin Invitational. It is either a 5k run or 1.5 mile walk on our cross country trail! For more information and to register, visit www.emhscctf.com. Feel free to contact RD Phil Keller, firstname.lastname@example.org for information, to volunteer or if you know of any potential sponsors! Part of your sponsorships monies can be put towards your child’s athletic fees.
Gym Banner Program
Another fundraiser for T’Wolves Athletics is the gym banner program. For $700 (3’ x 6’ scoreboard banner), $600 (6’ x 3’ wall banner), or $400 (3’ x 3’ wall banner), you can purchase a banner for a business to hang in the gym for one calendar year. Half of the proceeds of the banner can be credited towards your child’s athletic fees.
