East Mountain High School Takes Home Two Major Sweepstakes Awards in New Mexico Speech & Debate Tournament

At the New Mexico State Speech and Debate Tournament in Hobbs this weekend, the East Mountain High School Speech & Debate Team took home two major sweepstakes awards, coming in second place in the Speech Sweepstakes and in third place in the Overall Sweepstakes. Coach Trey Smith also took home the Debate Coach of the Year Award, while senior Alyssa Yarber took home first place honors in the Dramatic Interpretation Category.
