Supporting EMHS

East Mountain High School is a model public college-preparatory school that provides outstanding learning experiences which engage, challenge and inspire each individual to achieve excellence. As a public charter high school, an East Mountain High School education is available to all. There are no tests to qualify and no tuition to pay. If the number of interested students exceeds the number of spaces available, a lottery is held to determine which students receive the spots.

Your support will enable us to:

  • Engage students in the community through community service, internships and mentorships.
  • Challenge students to take more credits for graduation than the state requires and to receive the Timberwolf diploma of excellence.
  • Inspire students through college visits, access to college counselors, alumni and experts and to have extraordinary experiences.

There is a gap of $1000 per student between what East Mountain High School receives from the State of New Mexico for each student’s education and what it costs to provide a college preparatory education that is available to all. You can help us fill that gap by:

  • Making a donation
  • Providing items we need
  • Volunteering
  • Joining our leadership
  • Connecting us to others

The future is happening today in the classrooms of East Mountain High School. Your involvement is critical to help make it a better future for all of us. Together, we can create a model of what education will be and must be in the future right here and right now.

We are deeply grateful for your support.

Meeting the Parent Volunteer Requirement

All donations of cash or in-kind items can be counted towards the parent volunteer requirement of 72 hours annually.  Donations are valued at $6.50 per hour.  Thus, a donation for $468.00 will cover any entire year of volunteering.  For more information about volunteering at East Mountain High School, please visit the volunteering page.
