Environmental Science Building Grand Opening Wed. April 12, 2017

East Mountain High School is excited to announce the grand opening of the Environmental Science Building.

The building began as a classroom project over thirteen years ago, according to Bradd Schulke, EMHS Environmental Science Teacher.

After initial funding from grants from State Farm and the Brabson Foundation, the funding to complete the project was provided through the State Capital Outlay process. Sen. Sue Wilson Beffort and Rep. Jim Smith played important roles in making sure funding was available to complete the building.

The goal of the new facility is to allow science classes a location to conduct long-term experiments and projects.

The Open House is Wednesday, April 12 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. The public is invited to tour the facility, partake in refreshments, and listen to guest speakers share the history and goals of the building.
