EMHS believes that students are successful when parents and the community are involved in the life of the school. For this reason, parents are asked to volunteer 8 hours per month, or 72 hours per year, to benefit EMHS. Parents can accrue volunteer hours by attending school events, tutoring students, chaperoning field trips and Discovery Projects, or participating in EMHS fundraisers.

Some parents choose to meet the volunteer requirement by donating money or supplies to EMHS. By giving of their time, talents or treasure, parents are helping EMHS to be school their children need to succeed.
