EMHS offers students the opportunity to compete at the 4A level in Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track, Golf and Bowling. See Mr. Naylor (Room 201) for information on all sports.
Ms. Flake (Room 101) sponsors a weekly meeting for fans of all things Anime.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
Ms. Wilvert (Room 206) sponsors this club for students who want to share their faith.
Ms. Healy and Mr. Janes sponsor the Sexualities and Gender Acceptance club which meets weekly in room 401.
Ms. Booth (Room 300) sponsor this club for students considering careers in Mathematics, Engineering, and Science. Students can participate in competitions and make presentations in exhibitions. Students can also earn scholarship money for college.
Dr. Ball (Room 205) sponsors this club which simulates the procedures of the United Nations and assigns students to represent various countries.
National Honor Society
The Timberwolf NHS, an honorary organization based on scholarship, leadership and service, is open to any 10th, 11th or 12th grader with a 3.5 or higher GPA, who has a strong involvement in service and leadership projects and who demonstrates good character. See Ms.Schuette in Room 403.
The Howl Writing Club
Ms. Berlin-Martinez (Room 403) sponsors the school literary magazine. Submissions of writing and art are welcomed from all students. The editors and staff of The Howl review and edit all submissions and compile them into an annual publication.
Speech & Debate
Mr. Smith (Building 3 admin office) sponsors this competitive team that competes in drama, debate, acting, and persuasive speaking. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Your Student Council is a leadership organization that strives to promote school unity and spirit, organize school events and provide a forum for students’ voices to be heard. Ms. Kuehne (Room 402) sponsors Student Council. Elections are held in the fall of each school year.
Youth & Government
Mr. Schwebach (Room 103) sponsors Y&G, which explores the legislative process by writing bills and convening in Santa Fe for a mock legislative session.
