Admission Lottery

Lottery Information

East Mountain High School enrolls new students through a lottery process.

The enrollment period for the current 2020-2021 school year is now closed. For the 2021-2022 school year, the Open Enrollment Period will be held from Monday, February 8, 2021, through Friday, March 12, 2021. EMHS expects to enroll 100 freshmen. Siblings of currently attending EMHS students receive preference in the admissions process and do not have to go through the actual drawing of names. However, siblings must still submit a Lottery Form by the March 12 deadline. At EMHS, a sibling is defined as one who shares at least one biological parent or legal guardian and lives 50% of the time in the same household as a current EMHS student.

Lottery Enrollment Forms must be completed online at the East Mountain High School website. Transfer students (rising sophomores, juniors and seniors) should submit an unofficial transcript, including current grades and courses in progress, in addition to their Lottery Enrollment Form to verify accurate grade placement. Please be aware that a student will not be offered admission unless these materials have been received. Unofficial transcripts, including current grades and courses in progress, should be directed to Carol Wirth, Registrar via email:
